My interests
Spaceflight
I am a spaceflight enthusiast. I love watching launches of rockets into space and keeping track of what’s going on in space. I also write articles about spaceflight, you can find more information about it on the Projects page of my website. My interest in this area started when I started reading articles about spaceflight on Kosmonautix.cz. Then I started to contribute to the Kosmonautix forum. After some time I was offered to write short posts for the official Instagram of the Czech Astronomical Society, which I gladly accepted. After some time I got an offer to manage the official profile of the Kosmonautix website on the social network Threads, which I also gladly accepted.
Photography
I love taking pictures. Primary I shoot macrophotography, but sometimes I shoot landscapes, street photography or amateur astrophotography. I was introduced to photography by my grandfather, who is a professional photographer. He showed me the beauty of macrophotography and film photography. I own the Nikon D7500 camera body and few lenses. Universal Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 for macrophotography, lightweight Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G and Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 for landscapes and wide-angle astrophotography. I won third place in a national František Kupka photography competiton in Opočno town. I am so proud and happy about this success! You can also view my gallery in the Gallery section.
Astronomy
I am amateur astronomer and astrophotographer. I discover astronomy thanks to Czech Astronomical Society and AstroConnect Discord server. I gained some basic knowledge in astronomy and astrophysics and I thought why not try the Astronomy Olympiad, which our grammar school also participated in. I advanced to the regional round of the Astronomy Olympiad, where after a lot of effort I got a nice third place in region. I definitely want to go further in astrophysics and theoretical astronomy in the future, because these topics are really interesting.
IT & programming
IT and programming are my main hobbies. Computer is my main work device, I use it for everything I do online. From writing articles to programming. My first programming language was JavaScript. I was trying to build simple websites, but i always failed. Then I realise, i want go into backend development. My friend learned me the basics of Java programming language. Now, I code in Java most of my programming projects. I am also learning basics of C# language, because it is better for building Windows GUI applications. I also love trying and testing new Linux distribution – I am learning Linux, because it’s very interesting and funny to play with, but I am still using Widnows as my primary operating system.
